American Standard Air Conditioner Sales. Many people know American Standard for its well-crafted plumbing fixtures. But the company is also popular for its high-quality climate control technology.

American Standard has a rich and storied history in heating, cooling and plumbing. Founded by John Bartlett Pierce in the heyday of American industrialism, the Pierce Steam Heating Company merged with several other independent manufacturers in 1882, and formed the American Radiator Company. Over the coming decades, American Radiator would merge with several other companies, until it finally emerged as the company we know today -- American Standard -- in 1967.
