Brickerville is home to the Hopewell Forge Mansion, the 18th Century home of Peter Grubb, discoverer of the iron mines that gave the region its vibrant economy at the time. After discovering the mines, Grubb established the nearby Cornwall Iron Furnace, one of the biggest and most important iron foundries in Colonial America.
