Elizabethtown is famously known for the college that shares its name. Elizabethtown College is a private liberal-arts school founded in 1899 by members of the Brethren church, which offers continuing education and is a member of the NCAA Division III. Its women's basketball team had the most wins by any collegiate basketball team in the 20th Century.
E-town itself is a vibrant community, owing its growth in the 1800s and 1900s to a rich agricultural and manufacturing tradition. The town grew substantially in the decades following World War II, doubling in population by 2000. Like all of the mid-Atlantic region of the United States, Elizabethtown has hot, humid summers and cold-icy winters. Good heating and plumbing services are important in such a variable climate, so Cocalico Plumbing and Heating takes its role in the community very seriously. We provide heating, air conditioning, ventilation and plumbing services to Elizabethtown and the surrounding communities, including much of Lancaster, Lebanon and Berks counties.
